Major conflict has broken out in the Middle East as the United States and Israel initiated a massive, coordinated military operation against Iran. The strikes began shortly after President Donald Trump’s 10-day ultimatum for a new nuclear deal expired without an agreement. Reports indicate heavy explosions near Tehran, Isfahan, and several key nuclear enrichment facilities, including Natanz.
The Pentagon confirmed the joint operation, codenamed "Operation Sentinel Shield," aimed at neutralizing Iran’s nuclear capabilities and IRGC command centers. Prime Minister Netanyahu stated that Israel "will no longer live under the shadow of a nuclear threat." In response, Iran has reportedly launched retaliatory drone and missile swarms toward US bases in Iraq and targets in Israel. Global oil prices have surged past $125 per barrel as the Strait of Hormuz faces potential closure, sparking fears of a global economic crisis.
